The Course
This course is suitable for babies from four months to around eleven months (mobile)
Infant Yoga is a natural progression of baby massage. The yoga allows your infant the freedom to stretch, relax and have fun in a safe setting.
This method of infant yoga is adapted from Hatha yoga postures and offers physical stimulation, helping them to strengthen their spines and develop supple joints.
During the eight week course you will learn sequences with your child, which will stimulate the body's systems and encourage co-ordination and flexibility. This is "pure baby yoga" which originated from Francoise Freedman's work with the Peruvian Amazonian people.
This class allows both mums/dads and infants to exercise together. I therefore suggest you wear comfortable, practical clothes in which you will be able to stretch and move freely. The classes will contain a mix of dynamic exercises, special holds and relaxation techniques, as well as a few surprises!
When: Tuesdays 11.00 - 12.30
